The Euro Divergent Rebel's Playbook: Strategies for Success in Turbulent Times
A "neurodivergent rebel" refers to an individual who embraces their neurodivergent identity while challenging societal norms and expectations. Neurodivergence encompasses various neurological differences such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others. These individuals often advocate for acceptance, understanding, and accommodation of diverse neurotypes.

The term "rebel" in this context doesn't necessarily imply defiance for its own sake, but rather a commitment to authenticity and self-advocacy. Neurodivergent rebels may:
Reject societal pressures to "mask" or hide their natural behaviors
Challenge misconceptions about neurodiversity
Advocate for inclusive practices in education and workplaces
Celebrate their unique strengths and perspectives
Push for neurodiversity-affirming approaches in therapy and support
Question neurotypical-centric social norms and expectations
These individuals often use social media, blogs, or public speaking to share their experiences and insights. They may participate in or organize neurodiversity pride events, create art that expresses their neurodivergent identity, or engage in activism for disability rights.

The neurodivergent rebel movement emphasizes the value of neurological differences and seeks to reframe them as natural variations in human cognition rather than disorders to be cured. This perspective aligns with the broader neurodiversity paradigm, which views neurological differences as an important aspect of human diversity.
Autism Awareness Month, observed annually in April, is characterized by a vibrant color palette that symbolizes the diversity and complexity of autism spectrum disorders. The primary color associated with autism awareness is blue, often referred to as "autism blue." This hue has become widely recognized and is frequently used in campaigns and merchandise.
However, the color scheme has expanded to include a spectrum of colors, reflecting the multifaceted nature of autism. These colors typically include:

Blue: Representing awareness and acceptance
Red: Symbolizing energy and determination
Yellow: Signifying hope and positivity
Purple: Denoting pride and dignity
Green: Representing growth and new perspectives
Orange: Symbolizing inclusion and understanding
These colors are often incorporated into puzzle piece designs, ribbons, and various awareness materials, creating a visually striking representation of the autism community's diversity and unity.
The autism puzzle piece is a widely recognized symbol associated with autism awareness. Originating in 1963, it was designed to represent the complexity of autism spectrum disorder. The puzzle imagery suggests that autism is a complex condition with many interconnected parts.

While some embrace the symbol as representing hope and ongoing research, others in the autism community criticize it. Critics argue it implies people with autism are incomplete or need fixing. As a result, alternative symbols like the infinity loop have gained popularity.
Despite controversy, the puzzle piece remains common in autism awareness campaigns, merchandise, and organizational logos worldwide. Its meaning continues to evolve with changing perspectives on autism.

Awareness and Acceptance
Jamie Nole
from the website: I was inspired to create this design because I have three little ones who are diagnosed with ASD. My four-year-old and my two year old twins showing me that autism is a spectrum; I adore their little traits similar to each other or unique - nonverbal, sensory seeking, stimming, lack of eye contact, lining up things, hyperlexic, scripting, hand leading, and more.
The shapes/figures you see in the brain design represent how the autism brain is different from neurotypical brains. The silhouette is of my 4year old, who loves to paint or color rainbows. Of course, I had to use a spectrum of colours to represent that autism is a Spectrum.

Vox Headcanons
(I was working on these with a friend :3)
- Vox is a transgender man. - He has 11 sharks named Victor, Veronica, Vivian, Vincent, Viera, Victoria, Vance, Veer, Valkyrie, Vanessa, and Vark. - He is dating Valentino, though it is an explicitly stated "open relationship." Valentino often gets jealous of Vox flirting with other people, though, and the "open" status is subject to change on a dime. - Vox forgets to eat and sleep until either Valentino and Velvette remind him, or he passes out from exhaustion. - He puts his work before everyone else in his life, even himself. - He was friends with Alastor for a long time and gained most of his current power from working with Alastor. But after confessing his love to Alastor and his feelings not being returned, Vox didn't take the rejection well and fought him. He almost lost the fight, but Alastor chose to spare him and Valentino found him hours later. - The fallout was also caused by Vox changing as a person, being corrupted by the technological advances he was making with VoxTek. After partnering with Valentino, changing his own head from a CRT TV to a flat screen TV, using mind control to manipulate his viewers, and neglecting the quality of his products, Alastor felt like Vox was a different person. - Vox still has a crush on Alastor, though he hides it behind a facade of hatred and disgust. - Vox is an ENTJ. - He's touch starved. - Vox is horrible with kids, but connects with children on the autism spectrum. - Vox can open internet tabs in his brain, as well as view security footage and send messages. Everything he sees is recorded with high-quality video and audio. - Every interaction he's had with Alastor is saved in a folder buried deep in his files that he only opens during "alone time." - When Vox dreams, they're projected on his screen for anyone to see. He doesn't know about this. - Vox's screen gets a pink tint when he blushes. - His antennae twitch when he's overwhelmed or flustered. - Vox can show pictures and videos on his screen. - He can play piano and guitar. - When asked the question, "ass, tits, or thighs," he always picks ass. - He's somewhere on the aromantic spectrum. - Vox is always up by 5 AM and never sleeps in. - He can turn his pain, auditory, olfactory, and taste receptors on and off. - Vox had a traumatic childhood with a verbally abusive mother and a physically abusive father. - He had a brother who also went to Hell, but he hasn't been able to locate him. - Vox is a switch but prefers to top because of how much he likes being in control. - He's autistic. - When he was alive, he had a wife who he would frequently cheat on, and two children named Alice and James. - The first time Vox had sex with a man was drunk with Valentino, who was his bisexual awakening. - Vox was popular in school. - When he spawned in Hell, he changed his name from Mary to Vox as a fresh start. - He sleeps in shark themed boxers. - During game night with the rest of the Vees, when it's his turn to pick the game, he always picks Monopoly. Valentino and Velvette have yet to beat him, but they have an evil plan to cheat and make Vox cry and are going to enact it next game night. - He wears rainbow striped socks. - Vox sometimes listens to musical soundtracks while he's working. - His favorite drink is bourbon. - His favorite color is red, but he always lies and says it's blue. - Vox's favorite food is Alastor's jambalaya, but he'll never tell anyone. - He's from New Jersey. - He owns a shark onesie he wears for sleepovers. - You know those Terms of Service nobody reads when you make an account on a new website or agree to a new setting? Well Vox manipulates the fine print to be used as a soul contract if you own your soul. That's how he rose to power so quickly, because millions of unsuspecting sinners were unknowingly giving Vox their souls by signing up for Sinstagram and other apps.

Since it's Autism Awareness Month, here's
Why the puzzle piece is offensive to the Autistic Community
[Large text: Why the puzzle piece is offensive to the Autistic Community]
Unfortunately, the most commonly used symbols to represent autism are all puzzle related, like the ones bellow.
Tumblr media
These symbols and similar ones are typically used by Autism Organizations that are run by allistic people rather than autistic, Autism Speaks being the best-known example across the internet, but not the only one.
I'm not going to go deep into how bad Autism Speaks is, but just to leave you with the tip of the iceberg, know they used to put out ads that demonized autistic people (and even one in which one of the organization's leaders spoke about wanting to drive herself and her autistic daughter off a bridge).
Autism Speaks, and many others, attempt to "teach" people about autism, without hearing what actually autistic people have to say, and that's their biggest (but not at all only) problem.
Now, stay with me as we dive into history...
The puzzle piece was first used as a symbol for autism in 1963, by UK's National Autism Society, later on being adopted by Autism Speaks, which made it more popular.
Back then, autism awareness campaigns were viewed as being similar to, for example, cancer awareness ones, because autism was seen as an illness, a disease (which it is not).
As I've made clear before, the puzzle piece is heavily associated with organizations that spread misinformation about autism, making it, of course, already a bad symbol to represent us, but there's something I personally feel bothers us a lot more, and that is the symbolism of the puzzle piece.
The puzzle piece represents an idea of "mystery" and — you guessed it — being "puzzled".
And us, autists, don't really appreciate being called confusing.
Not only that, these words were often used to describe autism offensively in the past (and still are). And, on top of that, most times, when you find a puzzle supposed to represent autism, it is incomplete.
Isn't the message clear enough?
We're people, not puzzles that have to be worked out. We're not incomplete and we're not "puzzled".
So
Which symbols can you use for autism awareness?
[Large text: Which symbols can you use for autism awareness?]
The infinity rainbow symbol is common for all neurodivergent people, while the golden infinity is specific for ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder, in case you didn't know the acronym).
Tumblr media
The infinity symbol represents the complexity and vastness of neurodivergence and autism.
Autism is less about "severity" and more about different struggles in different topics and areas (though not a lot of people seem to understand that, unfortunately). After all, autism is a spectrum, not a scale.
And if you're interested in why golden is the color of choice for us, that'd be because the periodic symbol for gold is Au, which I think is very clever, haha.
Some people also like to use red or plain yellow, I don't know a lot about that, but I'd recommend you research it.
And since we're on the topic of color, just a warning: in the Autistic Community we kind of avoid using blue to represent us, especially because it is heavily associated with Autism Speaks' "Light It Up Blue" movement.
Blue is seen as a representation of feelings like sadness, as well as being commonly associated with boys (this is important because women and other AFAB are often misdiagnosed and underdiagnosed because many people still think autism is only found in boys, and because many traits are viewed as "normal behavior" in AFAB people).
This isn't to say you can't use blue in the title of your PowerPoint presentation about ASD, it's just a thing we try to avoid.
Well, that should be all.
I decided to make this post because I've seen many people post about which symbols to use for Autism Awareness Month, but no one explaining why.
Thought this could help some poor lost soul understand it, lol
Happy Autism Awareness Month, my beloved Yippies, and a thank you to everyone who stopped to read <3 (heart).
Now I'm gonna go clean my search history and my gallery, just reading "Autism Speaks" gives me the ick.

Planning to try out Auctober again this October! Feel free to join in and draw for each prompt! List of prompts and their context below:
1: Red Instead - Instead of the blue puzzle piece as displayed by Autism $peaks, we light it up red instead!
2: Special Interests - Anything you love the most in your life!
3: Music - Music is always nice to listen to, especially video game music!
4: Comfort Food - Food is yummy. Fast food is even yummier because why wouldn't it be?
5: Stim / Verbal Stims - Stims include making mouth noises and waving your arms back and forth for comfort!
6: Stim Toys - Fidget cubes, spinners, squeezable toys, etc. -- they can be fun to use!
7: Sensory Euphoria - Some things can make you most happy, whether it's eating chicken with queso dip, seeing a light-filed city during night time, store candles with a good food-like smell, you name it!
8: Hyperfixation - One particular thing you're focused on so much! It can be the periodic table, a video game series, painting, anything you can think of!
9: Info Dumping - Wanna know what one thing is? Then you'll wanna be ready for a detailed explanation going at least 200-pages long!
10: Neurotypical Expectations - Neurotypicals expect an awful lot from autistic people. For all we know, some random guy might expect you to know how to build an aircraft carrier! Of course, that's just me haha
11: Jobs...? Where? - Obviously, there are TONS of open jobs available, but whatever jobs ARE open, workers and its managers expect you to work, and work, and work, and work, and work, and work...without considering your overall health at all, nor giving you a long-enough break to help you catch your breath physically and mentally.
12: The Outside World - Outside is scary. No matter how safe you are, there's a tiny chance something bad or worse will happen. Society can even expect you to be "normal".
13: Social Anxiety - It's hard enough making friends, let alone be an extrovert. Chances are, one could have sociophobia!
14: Self-Advocacy - Nothing about us without us! Seriously, neurotypical adults have talked about autism and didn't include autistics in the conversation. (got that from one of my Auctober 2023 drawings)
15: Self-Care - Self-care is important! Make sure to brush your teeth, eat and drink healthy, exercise and whatnot!
16: LGBTQIA+ - Autistic people are more likely to be LGBTQIA+!
17: Rainbow Infinity - Rainbows are a whole spectrum of colors! Same with the autistic spectrum--all sorts of different experiences!
18: Au-DHD - ADHD, but "A" is replaced with "Au" as in aurum, which is Gold in Latin. ADHD can mean one is hyperactive!
19: Too Much Energy - The energy builds up too fast and you just have to exercise to tone it down! Of course, the energy could vary, sometimes being suddenly energetic when you just need to sleep.
20: Out-of-Nowhere Info/Fact - Say you're doing a simple job like vacuuming. All you have to do is move the vacuum on the floor as you hold the handle, thus cleaning the floor. Simple, yes? Well, surprise -- some guy sucker punches you with random information such as "Hey buddy! Vacuums use more electricity when you turn the vacuum on and off rather than letting it stay on!" (I've actually been told that one time, and the info sounding unconfirmed to me, it just left me in a long mental stasis of confusion) Like, when did anyone ask for a detailed fact about something that's SUPPOSED TO BE SIMPLE? I don't have time to comprehend an entire page of info, I just like to keep things SIMPLE as you neurotypicals tell me to my face.
21: School Experience - Experience can include elementary school, middle school, high school, college -- You can explain a particular event or two during any of these time periods!
22: Routine - A little something every day or now and then to stay consistent! Daily tasks can included 3 meals a day, staying productive or such!
23: Unmasking - Unmasking is not easy. Defending yourself from the unpredictable world, trying to blend in with society -- it's exhausting! Let the autistic community just be what they wish to be already.
24: Autistic Viewpoint - How do you view the world as an autistic?
25: America (Derogatory) - This one might not need an introduction -- America, the "Land of the Free" and the "Land of Opportunities", sure likes to screw us all over! Police are too paranoid, justice is a load of baloney, daily gun violence anywhere and everywhere, dangerous bigots normalizing the R-slur, then you have big and popular figures here smearing the autistic community into a negative light...and the list of bad things never stops growing! A very cruel country, like not even cartoon villains are this mean-spirited! How is the autistic community supposed to exist in peace when the USA is basically nothing but trouble? Happy 4th of July, I guess...
26: Comfort Media/Games - A TV show or video game is always nice to play and keep calm when times get tough out there!
27: Fancy Wording - A series of five-dollar words can arrive rather than a simple "yes" or "not" to suffice. Sometimes, fancy words such as Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis can be fun to learn about!
28: Gold - Gold is part of the periodic table, atomic number 79! Light it up gold instead of blue for Autism Acceptance! 'Au' as in Aurum, and autism!
29: Neurodivergent Community - There's all sorts of Neurodivergent people worth seeing! They all have different experiences!
30: Autistic Pride - Autistic and proud!
31: FREE SPACE -- Explain any topic you wish!

the meanings of different autism symbols
the puzzle pieces
Tumblr media
the puzzle piece represents the complexity of autism and trying to figure it out. this symbol is harmful and not favored by most, as it claims the brain of an autistic person is "unfinished" or not "perfect".
the light it up blue project
Tumblr media
this symbol was created by an organization called autism speaks. they believe that autism needs some sort of cure or to be solved. the color blue represents a calm atmosphere for the "loud and busy brain" of an autistic person.
the infinity sign
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the infinity symbol displays accepting differences rather than seeing them as deficits. it's usually colored rainbow or gold. this is currently the most popular symbol in the community.
the fingerprint
Tumblr media
this symbol was created by kaelynn partlow, an autism advocate featured on the netflix show love on the spectrum. it resembles the uniquness and the differences of autistic people.
the butterfly
Tumblr media
the butterfly symbolizes the beauty of change and development. this one is also more popular among the community because of the softer colors of the puzzle pieces, indicating more diversity in the spectrum.

ITS AUTISM ACCEPTANCE MONTH BITCHES
HAPPY AUTISM ACCEPTANCE MONTH TO ALL MY FELLOW AUTISTIC PEEPS!!!! I plan on making some art work for this month, but idk when it’ll be done, so hang tight.
To celebrate this wonderful month here’s some educational fun facts!
(1) While the puzzle piece is the most common symbol for autism, it is actually preferred by the community to use a rainbow or golden infinity sign, due to the ableist history of the puzzle piece. Namely, it was popularized by Autism Speaks, which is an ableist company whose views are extremely harmful to the community (I won’t get into it here, but it’s BAD)
(2) The Autism spectrum isn’t linear. There isn’t a “more” or “less” autistic, as there are so many facets to autism that vary person to person. The spectrum is more like a color wheel, with each color representing a different trait (eg, sensory, social, memory, motor, etc). The idea that there is a linear spectrum is mostly based on the “how well can you mask your traits so they don’t affect other people” mindset. (One person may struggle more with motor but not social, while another struggles with sensory but not motor, etc)
(3) AFAB people are frequently under/misdiagnosed. Because their traits present differently from boys (who were the only people studied in most autism studies, especially the ones that made the diagnostic criteria) their traits are often missed. Oftentimes, they are diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, AVPD, anxiety, or even eating disorders, and have to self advocate for a diagnosis to be pursued. I myself wasn’t diagnosed until I was a teenager (after over a year of personal research and self advocacy) while my brother was diagnosed at 5.
That’s all for now! Happy Autism Acceptance Month and have a great day!

My Brother’s journey with having autism💫💫
This is my brother, Inigo
Tumblr media
He is part of the Spectrum. But:
What is Autism?
Autism, also called autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a complicated, lifelong condition that includes problems with communication and behavior. It's a spectrum disorder, which means it affects people in different ways and in varying degrees. It usually appears by age 2 or 3.
My Brother’s Journey
My brother is a very happy and bright kid. Because he had mild autism, he couldn’t communicate his feeling or emotions, leading him to cry most of the time if we wanted something. This is why my parents decided to put him in what we call ‘speech therapy’.
After a while of going to speech therapy, we started seeing improvements. He could say some specific words and he memorised the colors of the rainbow. Although, he wasn’t able to stop his speech therapy because if he did, he’d forget the words and it all go back to phase 1.
After a few years, he was able to take long breaks from therapy as he wouldn’t forget the words. His communication also improved a bit more and he could read a little bit.
Today, he has very much improved. He can say what he wants and what he feels, he can ask when he wants something instead of just grabbing the item, etc.
He is also a very bright kid. He can answer his tests very fast. He can write well, and he can read now. He has a fixation on animals and dinosaurs, and he continues to draw them everyday.
Overall, he’s my smart, happy little brother who loves animals and dinosaurs. I wouldn’t trade him for the world.

This has a nice summer vive thanks to the colors, and since we are close to summer it fits well! Kris is here to show everyone that Aroace's got drip! The rainbow infinity symbol in the background represents that he is part of the Autism spectrum!
Tumblr media
Here bellow is the HD version, above is the JPEGd version. This one is less crazy in colors, I originaly had the idea to color his human part with the Aroace flag but it really was too chaotic for its own good.

Would love a matchup~
Some basics:
-She/her
-5.7" (172cm) tall
-Fair skinned, blue eyes, blond medium length hair, glasses, a bit of soft squishy chub
-Pansexual
Who am I?
I'm on the autism spectrum, so I'm often shy and quiet to begin with, especially in crowds. Unless you mention something I'm interested/passionate about then expect sparkles as I rant. Then get profusely embarrassed and blushy after said rant. Never out and about without my earbuds/headphones, listening to music keeps me from getting over stimulated.
I love to dye my hair all sorts of colors. I mostly tend to stick to reds and purples, but occasionally change things up with another color, blue, green, pink, rainbow. Would totally dye my hair the same color as their magic for fun.
Don't follow fashion trends, I wear what I like. Can go from wearing all black to colourful outfits. Likes layers, often wear dresses and skirt. Lots of knitted clothes. Soft cottagecore. Doesn't wear much makeup day to day, but when I'm going out or during special occasions I'll go all out and look absolutely bomb every time. Self conscious about my looks and struggle a bit with my body but still try to wear what I want.
I prefer home dates, but love to every now and then go out, cinema, go out to eat, shopping, hiking or other fun activities that's not too high energy*.
Struggle with ME*(chronic fatigue syndrome), so I have good days and bad days. Only have really bad days if I push myself too much physically. Mostly just manage to move myself from bed to couch. So wont always be able to keep up with chores or go out when I have bad days. Try to do some crafts but don't always have the energy for it. Despite it all I have a positive outlook and always try my best to make the best of the day.
I'm bad at initiating physical touch at first, but I love being close to my partner. You know I'm crushing on somone when I start leaving touches and once we're steady I'll start leaning into them for comfort when I'm getting overstimulated. They become my safe haven. Mostly just physical with a partner. Love being together and touching in some way, if were doing something together or doing separate things in the same space. Arms touching, leaning into each other, head/legs on lap. If their head is on my lap and I have a free hand, I will be softly caress their head, chest or somewhere else. Occasionally I will need some alone time to decompress.
Very creative and have all sorts of creative hobbies. Always interested in learning new things and can often spend hours learning and watching videos of my current hyperfixation.
I run my own little online store were I sell my creations.
On to my hobbies, I'll make this short and sweet~
-Knitting, Crochet, Jewelry making, Beading, Clay, Painting, Resin, Sticker making, Graphic design, Illustration, Video games(pc, switch), movies and series(live action and animated), Reading, Writing, Baking, Sewing, Photography, 3D design, Playing my Kalimba(thumb piano)
- I love to collect cute things, figures, trinkets, miniatures, plushies, scented candles, essential oils and fairy lights. Have way too many soft, fluffy blankets and pillows.
My love language for giving is quality time and gifts(love to give handmade gifts to people I love), for receiving it's acts of service and gifts(I don't care about expensive stuff, just the fact they saw something no mater what it is and thought of me enough to buy/make, gives me the big fuzzies).
A deal breaker for me is bad hygiene, especially not washing those hands or regularly brush their teeth (this might lean more towards humans rather then skeleton monsters). Somone who doesn't like animals, I come with at least 2 cats and a dog. Wants to have pet rats again.
I love when my hair is played with, having somone run their fingers through my hair and/or messaging my scalp and I'll immediately turn into a puddle. Absolutely adore the sound of purring, one of the best sounds in the world.
Dislike strong smells and hard, stiff fabrics. Haven't worn jeans in over 10 years.
Not particularly any physical traits I'm attracted to, it's all about their personality. I love someone who can make me laugh, someone who I can be silly with. Somone who will help and support me during my bad days without complaint. Somone who I can relax and be lazy with, but also somone who can push me a bit to go out more, small daily walks (love a little quiet nature walks).
I'm ok with multiple matches and love me a cute poly~
Can't wait to see who you match me with 💚 Hopefully I didn't rant on to much >w<;;
Gonna start off and say I love your essay about yourself, organized enough to make finding stuff I need easier! And you don’t have to worry, you didn’t rant too much!
Let’s do this!
Matchups are closed!
~~matching…~~matching~….~matching~~…~DING~
You match with Syrup!
✨✨
(US Papyrus): Syrup:
I feel like Syrup knew you from one of his brother’s short lived clubs (Sky loves trying out all kinds of hobbies but to prevent him getting too bored of it he cycles through them) or from his D&D club/campaigns. So Syrup sees you around sometimes, at first he hadn’t talked to you often, he heard all kinds of good stuff about you from Sky so he got curious. Then one day he or his brother mention something and you start gushing. And oh boy, oh boy, Syrup practically sees you start to glow as you rant, and then you get embarrassed and blushy and Syrup can’t help but find you adorable. He acts on the urge to make a joke to lighten up the situation and brush off your embarrassment because there’s no need to be embarrassed about ranting about things you love. And your laugh is like music to his non-existing ears.
You guys become the best of friends, I can tell you that. Syrup encourages you to use your headphones/earbuds to help you out from getting overstimulated. He gets it, his own coping mechanism to deal with overwhelm-ness, stress and frustration is to suck on lollipops. Everyone got their own things. Very early on you two made a system where Syrup either draws your attention by waving when he wants to talk to you, or he sends a message to the device you’re currently using to draw your attention. It’s so neither of you get frustrated.
As everyone knows, Syrup is one clumsy boy. So he falls often. Meaning he can fall into a crush quite easily. It’s a tiny crush that makes him a bit more clumsy and stuttery/easily flustered but those he can get over quickly. However as he gets to know you, he trips further and ends up falling hard.
He loves the colors you dye your hair in. Syrup likes to guess what new color you’re dying your hair with. If you dye your hair the same color as Syrup’s magic then you succeeded in crashing his system! He straight up freezes as his entire face erupts in a darkish orange color and a high pitched whistle leaves him.
Loves anything you wear. I’m legit, this boy believes you’re gorgeous, he adores you in whatever you choose to wear. As long as you like it and are comfortable in it. Be prepared to get your chub worshiped because come on, an amazing pillow is right there and it’s made of you. Syrup would be crazy to not love that.
While we are on the topic, he loves to nap on you.
The moment you give him any sign of an ok he’s all over you with touch. Syrup is a cuddle bug true and through, you can’t change my mind. However before you two are together, it’s more small touches and sitting closer together. The moment you guys are together he goes full on cuddles and snuggles. He blushes while he initiates contact at first but the more he does it the less flustered he gets. Until you start initiating touch back. Syrup goes straight back to being flustered. The first time you leaned on him he swears he had died and gone to heaven or something.
Syrup too sometimes needs his alone time.
On the bad days Syrup will either just join you on the couch or message you memes and joke around to make you smile.
Once he learns you have your own store he’s buying stuff from it, he already loves stuff you make he just wanna show his support. That being said, if you made him something he will treasure it forever.
He likes animals and he wouldn’t mind pets, him and Sky were planning to get a dog anyways. He loves to play with your critters.
This boy will deadass giggle at your blunt/brutally honest comments. He loves that a lot about you.

🦇 Tilly in Technicolor Book Review 🦇
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
❝ "Like a crystal prism. You absorb the world around you but somehow release this brilliant spectrum of colors through your words that people see themselves in. It's a gift." ❞
❓ #QOTD What would you name your signature nail polish color? (Shatter the Stars purple or The Blood of My Enemies red for me)❓ 🦇 Tilly Twomley is a chaotic rainbow, while Oliver Clark is a constant midnight sky. When they're seated beside one another on a flight to London, even the smallest interactions--from taking their seats to ketchup explosions--seem to end in disaster. They have no clue they'll be working together all summer, interning for Tilly's sister's nail polish start-up. Between Tilly's ADHD and Oliver's autism, their different ways of communicating and seeing the world tend to clash...while bringing them together, too.
💜 The books that take me by surprise are always the most difficult to review. Mazey Eddings' YA debut is a stunning exploration of two neurodivergent minds; a story only Eddings could have written, as she was diagnosed with both ADHD and autism herself. It's evident in the internal dialogue, which grants readers vivid insight into both beautifully unique minds. Tilly is a relatable young adult with no idea how she fits in the world with her mind's unique wiring, while Ollie is eager to design a future for himself, despite his inability to process situations at times. Tilly's boundless energy and mood swings clash with Ollie's preference for familiarity and control. Their differences create the perfect opposites attract romance with beautiful neurodivergent representation from someone who understands both mindsets personally. The chapter titles are fun, the character growth is natural, and the supporting cast brings depth to both Tilly and Ollie's worlds. Tilly in Technicolor is hopeful, charming, and heartwarming all at once; a full spectrum of emotion we don't get often enough.
🦇 I could praise this book for ages, but it does have an unsteady start. Despite the delicious slow burn, the transition from coworkers to friends to lovers wasn't as smooth as I would have liked. I also think the tense relationship between Tilly and her mother was resolved too easily. As someone with parents who "want what's best" but can't empathize with certain conditions (in my case, depression and anxiety), Tilly's mother's sudden acceptance felt too abrupt. The ending felt abrupt as well; this was one of the few times I would have appreciated an epilogue.
🦇 Recommended to any YA lovers looking for a beautiful, unique coming-of-age story. Though it certainly has its fluffy moments, the story is also real and raw; a must-read. (I do think we should categorize this as New Adult, though.)
✨ The Vibes ✨ ❤️ Neurodiversity Rep (Autism & ADHD) 💜 YA Debut 💙 Meet Cute Disaster 🗼 Traveling Europe 💛 First-Person Dual POV 💚 Slow Burn 🤍 Forced Proximity
❝ "They don't have the right to make you feel uncomfortable to fit their ideas of what's proper." ❞
🦇 Major thanks to the author @mazeyeddings and publisher @stmartinspress / @wednesdaybooks for providing an ARC of this book via Netgalley @netgalley. 🥰 This does not affect my opinion regarding the book. #TillyinTechnicolor

Friendly reminder:
Saying autism is a spectrum and then erasing high support needs autistics' experience is nothing but hipocrisy and ableism. If something is a spectrum it's not ,,everything/everyone is the same". Think about rainbow — it doesn't have just one color, right?
Not every autistic is late diagnosed and low support needs. High support needs autistics aren't just stereotype.

Autism Pride Day✨
Tumblr media
First up is me✨ Hello I have autism and ADHD which means I’m smart but only at the last second😂. Now I am professionally diagnosed, and if you think there’s something fishy with how you relate to such videos about autism (or ADHD) talk to a medical professional who knows about that stuff and see if it’s for real. Everyone says therapists and EEG… but I was diagnosed this way: My teachers thought I was a dum dum and sent me to a classroom for the kids who need help with school. Then they said I was too smart for help. My mom took me to our family doctor and told him everything I do (she always knew I was different is what she tells me) and he said, “Yup, autism and ADHD.” And I’ve been awesome ever since. I got this paper that explained everything to my teachers so they’d know I do things differently and Id need a little more flexibility with what they do in a classroom, it’s called a 504. Anyways.
And yes, there is an Autism Pride day even though there’s a whole month. I missed that month so.. To say where I am on the spectrum I’m high-functioning, to explain it shortly, think of Donnie from rottmnt✨Except instead of science it’s art and math. And I can never be such an emotionally unavailable bad boy..
And if you ever wondered why the autism symbol is a rainbow infinity, the rainbow represents the spectrum of autism like a spectrum of colors, and the infinity represents the ✨infinite possibilities of autistic people✨
My brain developed differently and those who are my friends are enjoying my company very much✨ Some other little things is that I do have trouble expressing emotions, it makes sense in my head but words never work. It’s an important matter because since emotions and social stuff never work I also misinterpret information and/or it can emotionally effect me more than the other person initially believed it would. I don’t know how people work.

We’re all aware of the best autistic turtle ever, Donnie✨
Donnie: Was asked to just fix a robot but because it was his special interest he went all out and totally rebuilt Albearto Me: Was told that I could do an art project but didn’t need to do too much just needed some basic information but since art I took my paint and made a whole portrait with the information and presented it to the class.
Also some videos:

The puzzle piece
The puzzle piece as an autism symbol has been a subject of debate for some time. I understand the concerns and respect the varied perspectives within our diverse community. However, there's a lot of misinformation that leads people to view the puzzle piece symbol negatively, and I want to clarify a few points about why I personally resonate with it.
1️⃣ Misconception: The puzzle piece implies that autistic individuals are 'incomplete' or need 'solving'. Truth: The puzzle piece can symbolize the complexity of the autism spectrum. It reflects the diversity and uniqueness of each individual's experiences. No one is 'incomplete' or needs 'solving'; instead, we are all different pieces of a larger societal puzzle.
2️⃣ Misconception: The puzzle piece was initially used to represent 'puzzling' behavior that needed to be 'solved'. Truth: The original symbol was a puzzle piece with an image of a crying child, introduced by the National Autistic Society in the UK. It represented the 'puzzling' nature of autism at a time when there was little understanding or acceptance of the condition. The symbol has since evolved to exclude the crying child, and the meaning has changed with societal progress in understanding autism.
3️⃣ Misconception: The puzzle piece is universally rejected by the autistic community. Truth: Opinions vary widely within our diverse community. Some prefer the infinity symbol in rainbow colors to reflect neurodiversity, while others feel a connection to the puzzle piece and what it symbolizes today. It's essential to respect each individual's choice.
It's okay to have a symbol that resonates with you and represents your journey or experiences with autism. For me, the puzzle piece is a symbol of how we each contribute uniquely to the larger picture of life and society. What are your thoughts on the matter? Let's have a respectful and constructive conversation!
